    Dear Schofield Family,

Dennis and I were so saddened by the news of the death of our dear neighbor and friend, Jack! We lived across the street from Jo and Jack when we lived on Chilton Place, from 1986-1993. He and I had fun with plants and Jack would order me a hundred caladium bulbs for our yard every year. He even would send me bulbs in the mail after we moved to Fairhope, Alabama. Jack and Jo and the Olsens came down for a visit in 2005 to see our new house in Fairhope. I made the mistake of serving crab quiche for dinner. Jack informed me he was highly allergenic to any shell-fish! I felt so bad, but he was as gracious as ever and just watched us eat.
I was lucky enough to have talked to Jack on the phone some 6 months ago. He informed me then that he no longer could put out his wonderful caladium bulbs but his children and grandchildren were of much help to him! Bless all of you!!
