Connie Harris

CHARLOTTE – Margaret Cornell Brunt Harris  “Connie”, died April 22, 2018 at The Cypress of Charlotte.  She was born in Winston-Salem on April 7, 1923 and graduated from Meredith College in 1944.  While at Meredith, she me her husband, David W. Harris to who she was married for sixty-seven years prior to his death.  Connie was involved in many social activities including two book clubs and two bridge clubs and they were members of Myers Park Country Club.

Connie is survived by her children, Connie Harris and David Harris and his wife Angela, both of Charlotte and Dr. John Harris of Tokyo, Japan; and one grandchild, Destiny.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Connie Harris will be in the Community Room at The Cypress at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018.

    Connie was a dear lady. I have precious memories of being in her home as a teenager. Fun time with her daughter, Connie. She was warm and gracious. Condolences to her family.

    Dear Connie, David, and John Harris:
    So sorry for the loss of your mother, Margaret "Connie" Harris on April 22, 2018. We remember the time many years ago, when Connie and my sister Fran Craig (Sitton) went to St. Andrews Music Camp together. I remember meeting all of you then and thought of your mother ever since, but lost touch with her and where she was during the past several years. We hope that you have comfort in knowing that your mother is not suffering any longer. May God comfort all of you during this time of grief and sorrow for the loss of your mother, Connie Harris. May she rest in peace.
