Burton Sparling Davis III

April 16, 2018

CHARLOTTE – Burton Sparling Davis III, 81, died Monday, April 16, 2018 at his home.  Burt was born in Kingston, New York on August 18, 1936 to Mary Anne and Burton Sparling Davis Jr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Jean Nichols Davis and a brother, Cutter Dickinson Davis.  Burt attended Central High School in Charlotte and went on to graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He was a member of the ƩAE fraternity and was involved in many clubs in Charlotte.  Burt was also a member of Christ Church.
