Betty Seawell Pinkston

Betty Seawell Pinkston, 86, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 11, 2018.  She was born April 22, 1931 in Wadesboro, NC, the daughter of the late Arnold Willard Seawell and Lillian Mann Seawell.  She was predeceased by sisters Effie S. Boyette, Hilda S. King, Shirley S. Bobbitt, Carolyn Seawell and brother Earl Seawell.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, James T. Pinkston, Sr.; her children Jim Pinkston, Jr., Jeff Pinkston (Miriam), Judy Pinkston, Joy Pinkston; grandchildren Caroline Miller (Matt), Josh Pinkston, James Pinkston, Adam Pinkston (Rachel), Jordan Loud, Jaycie Loud; her brother Arnold Willard Seawell, Jr, of Southern Pines, NC, brother-in-law John Bobbitt of Advance, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.

 Betty was a 1954 graduate of Charlotte Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.  She worked for Charlotte Memorial, American Red Cross, Mecklenburg County Diabetic Clinic and the Charlotte Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic.  For over 50 years, she was an active member of Paw Creek Presbyterian Church, where she was a Life Member of the Presbyterian Women, Sunday School Teacher, and Circle Leader. 

A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at Paw Creek Presbyterian on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at 3:30 PM, officiated by Rev. Elliott Hipp. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
