John Lindsay Robinette, Jr.

John Lindsay Robinette, Jr., 63, of Charlotte, died at his residence on Saturday, January 7, 2017. He was born December 12, 1953, in Mecklenburg County; a son of the late John Lindsay and Eloise Werts Robinette. 

Lindsay was a graduate of West Mecklenburg High School and attended Central Piedmont Community College. For over 26 years, John was the owner of Southern Detail. He loved animals and riding his Harleys and rode in many charity events, including the Patriot Guard. 

In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his wife, Joan Crews.

Survivors include his sister, Marsha Hager and husband, Johnny of Huntersville, NC; brothers, Jeff Robinette and wife, Margaret of Charlotte, NC and Tim Robinette and wife, Carolyn of Gastonia, NC.  Also surviving are six nieces and three nephews. 

A memorial to celebrate his life will be held at Tony’s Bar, 10004 Moore’s Chapel Loop, Charlotte, NC., 28214, Thursday, January 12, 2017, from 5PM until.  

A special thanks to all his friends who helped to take care of him.  Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
