Belle Dusseault Hambacher

December 23, 2016

Belle Dusseault Hambacher, 33 years old, passed away due to an undiagnosed heart condition on Friday, December 23, 2016 in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was born in Panama City, Florida on March 5, 1983 and graduated from A. Crawford Mosley High School in 2001, where she was the senior class president. She received undergraduate degrees in both finance and real estate from Florida State University and was an active member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She married Alex Hambacher on June 16, 2012, having made Charlotte her home. Belle worked at Wachovia and Ernst & Young, among other roles, before transitioning to become a stay-at-home mother in 2014 and serving on the board of Mental Health America of Central Carolinas. Belle was a devoted mother to her sons Hudson and Cooper.

Belle lit up every room she was in, and throughout her life she made each person she came in contact with feel special and loved. She was a loving wife, an adoring mother, and a loyal friend. Belle was a natural leader with a special gift for making people laugh and feel accepted, known for her thoughtfulness and kindness to others. Belle found incredible joy in raising her two boys and no day was complete without a family walk and time at the park. Her absence leaves a hole in our lives, and the suddenness of her departure has been and is still a shock to our hearts. Life with Belle was a treasure and she will be missed terribly.

Belle is mourned by her husband Alex and their two sons, Hudson and Cooper; her parents Brian and Beverly Dusseault; her sister Brianna Dusseault and husband Christopher Eide; her brother Beau Dusseault, his wife Amanda and their children Gabriel, Henry, James and Andrew; her grandfather Henry Dusseault; her aunt and uncles Judy and Bruce Dusseault and Bob Nixon; her cousins Rachel Hicks, Sarah Meyer, Ashley Krueger, Corbitt Nixon, and Danaan Nixon; her mother-in-law Barbara Hambacher; and her sister- and brother-in-law Marley Hambacher and Aaron Drake. Her deceased grandparents are Dr. and Mrs. James D. Nixon and Mrs. Lillian Dusseault of Panama City.

A service commemorating Belle’s life and spirit will be held this Friday at Myers Park United Methodist Church in Charlotte. The body will lie in state at 12:00 p.m., a funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m., and the family will receive friends and family directly following.
