Lariah N. Stephens

February 26, 2026

CHARLOTTE - Lariah N. Stephens, age 6, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026. She was born on May 21, 2019, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to her loving parents, Veronica Hagler and Markeith Stephens.

Lariah was a bright, high-spirited little girl whose personality filled every room she entered. She will be remembered as sassy, smart, and full of life. Despite facing a congenital heart condition from birth, Lariah showed incredible strength throughout her young life. One of her greatest accomplishments was reaching six years old, a milestone that reflected her courage and resilience.

Lariah was a first-grade student who enjoyed many simple joys of childhood. Her favorite colors were purple and pink, and she especially loved watching Paw Patrol. She spent much of her time printing pictures, playing with her toys, watching television, and enjoying games on her tablet. Above all, Lariah loved spending time with her family, who meant the world to her.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her parents, Veronica Hagler and Markeith Stephens; her sister, Ahmira Smith; her grandmothers, Donna Collins and “Mama Sway”; her aunts, Charlena Washington, Ariel Stephens, and Janay Stephens; her cousin, Charlie Washington; her beloved dog, Louie; and many other loving relatives and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Though Lariah’s time here was far too short, the love and joy she brought into the lives of those around her will never be forgotten.

Arrangements are in the care of Kenneth W. Poe Funeral & Cremation Service, 1321 Berkeley Ave., Charlotte, NC 28204; (704) 641-7606. Online condolences may be shared at www.kennethpoeservices.com.

Lariah is a precious Angel that will be missed by all of her family. I remember when I was around her she was always happy, smiling and having fun with her cousin Charlie. She was at the family reunion in Syracuse and she was having a ball being around family and she ate all her favorite food on her plate. Her Papa told her you can get more food if you want. She was the most cutest and sweetest angel you could meet ? Rest in Heavenly Peace Beautiful Angel!❤️⚘️?
