Nicholas Konstantinos Koulpasis

November 29, 2025

CHARLOTTE – Nicholas Konstantinos Koulpasis, beloved son, husband, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 29, 2025, surrounded by his family.  His gentle spirit, warm heart, and boundless creativity touched every life he encountered, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Nicholas was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and spent his childhood in the communities of Fairfield and Trumbull.  He graduated from Trumbull High School, but his education and life experiences extended far beyond the classroom.  He also attended the Korgialeneios School of Spetses, Greece, a place that strengthened his connection to his heritage and became one of the many foundations of his worldly perspective.

A gifted and passionate artist, Nicholas saw beauty everywhere and expressed it through his talents.  His creativity led him to pursue a degree in Industrial Design at the University of Bridgeport School of Engineering, where he graduated with pride.  His artistic eye, imagination, and craftsmanship were admired by many.

Nicholas later moved to Fort Mill, South Carolina, where he continued to build a life filled with purpose, curiosity, and love.  He had an adventurous spirit and an eagerness to explore the world. Traveling brought him immense joy — from the quiet corners of familiar towns to the vibrant cultures of faraway countries.  No matter where he went, Nicholas carried kindness, humility, and an openness that drew others to him.

Above all, Nicholas cherished his family.  He left this world wrapped in their love, and his memory will live on in the stories, laughter, and lessons he shared with them throughout his life. Nicholas’ time on earth was a gift, and though he has departed far too soon, his legacy of love, creativity, and compassion will remain forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dimitra Alexatos; his mother, Katherine Koulpasis; and his father, Konstantinos Koulpasis.  He is also survived by his brothers, Aristedes (Eric) Koulpasis and David Koulpasis; his sisters-in-law, Deborah Koulpasis and Melissa Koulpasis; his nephews, Colin Koulpasis and Alex Koulpasis; and his nieces, Arianna Koulpasis and Ella Grace Koulpasis. Nicholas is further survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins in Greece and Australia.

Funeral services will be private.

May his memory be eternal.

Arrangements are in the care of Kenneth W. Poe Funeral & Cremation Service, 1321 Berkeley Ave., Charlotte, NC 28204; (704) 641-7606.  Online condolences may be shared at www.kennethpoeservices.com.

Nick….our hearts are broken. We have known you for 40 years, most of our lives. You have been a solid rock. Your incredible knowledge of one’s feelings are unmatched …you are forever a saint, always the one to give loving words of sound advice and an incredible unwavering commitment to others. Throughout the years, you opened your home to our family but most of all, your heart. You are a very special soul and will always carry a very special spot in our souls for you. May you spend your internal life in Heaven with all your beloved family, friends and kitties.
    -Live long and Prosper.

Though we never had the chance to meet in person, you touched all of our hearts across the miles. Getting to know our cousins on the other side of the world has been a blessing, and you made that connection feel so special.

Your wittiness, your humour, and your zest for life will be deeply missed. The joy you shared through your constant newsfeed on Facebook always brought smiles to our faces and reminded us of the warmth of family, no matter the distance.

Now you are with the Lord Jesus Christ. May you rest in peace, and may your memory be eternal. You will always remain in our thoughts and prayers, cherished as part of our family forever.
