CHARLOTTE – Jim Williamson passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, at the age of 93 in Charlotte, NC. He was born on 08/20/1932 in Forest City, NC to Renn & Edith Williamson.

A devoted husband to his wife, Joanne Williamson, for over 50 years, Jim was a loving father to his children, Lynn & Suzanne.

Jim earned a 4-year degree from Catawba College and a Master’s Degree from UNC Chapel Hill. He had a distinguished career as a CPA and Partner with KPMG accounting firm in Charlotte, NC. His favorite hobby was word working.

He is preceded in death by his wife Joanne and daughter Lynn. He is survived by his daughter Suzanne Salley and her husband Trey Salley.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 2:00pm at Hawthorne Lane United Methodist Church in Charlotte, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hawthorne Lane United Methodist Church, 501 Hawthorne Ln, Charlotte, NC 28204.
