To Shelley's family, I was married to Shelly's cousin, Henry Fort, Jr. Henry passed away in 2014 and his funeral was the last time I saw Shelley. I remember Shelley as a warm, friendly and loving person of whom I remember fondly. My prayers are with your family as you process this great loss. I know how difficult it is to loose a loved one and that words can't really ease that pain. Know that others care and wish that the Lord and your many memories will carry you through this time of grief. Sincerely, Brenda

Dearest Danny & family! I am devastated to learn of Shelley passing. I had only heard the day before that she needed prayers. I have no words, just a broken heart for those of us who love her and are left behind. Shelley is home and in the arms of Jesus, but the pain we feel is real. I pray that you will feel God's loving arms around you to comfort you and give you the peace that only comes from God. Shelley is such a wonderful vivid memory in my mind from many years ago. Following loved ones who live in different areas is my favorite part of Social media. Please know my heart breaks for you and your family. I will pray without ceasing for you. In prayer & love. The day I was moving into 3 Cherry, I looked up and there on my patio were Danny & Shelley welcoming us to the neighborhood. We talked for a while and discovered the many people that we both knew, realizing what a small world it is. The friendship continued on thru these last 5 years in many ways. When I was about to start my cancer treatments, Shelley wanted to make sure that she took me and stayed with me thru it. And when the stitches came out, she jumped at the chance to take me to Charlotte. She was so carrying and giving. Over the years, along with Danny we shared a special friendship that will never be replaced. I have moved many states and cities over my years, and I truly feel Shelley & Danny were placed across from me for a reason. I will miss my friend so much, but I will rally in the fact that we were special to each other. Love and hugs to Danny, Chad & Emily and families.
