I am so sorry for your loss. Although I never met Deborah, she and I could have had many fun conversations since I, too, am a nurse and musician. I heard there is beautiful music in heaven. Her musical spirit is now part of it. She was a very special person. My thoughts and prayers for you and yours.

My older sister, Debby, was an amazing person. She excelled in school, loved singing, and loved caring for young children. As a teenager, she was the most sought after babysitter in our church. It was no surprise to me when she became a neonatal nurse. As adults, our families lived in different states, so we we did not get to visit often, but I am grateful for the fun memories of several trips Debby and I took with our Dad and stepmother, Alice. I admire my sister for all the medical mission trips she took to Haiti. She truly had a giving heart. Debby’s family meant everything to her- she was a loving and devoted wife and mother. When she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, in typical fashion, Debby showed strength, bravery, and determination. I will miss my sister deeply, but I am comforted that she is in heaven and at peace.

Debby was a dedicated member of our NICU team at Presbyterian Hospital for many many years. She will be remembered for her commitment to her patients and the families as well as her love for music and the many mission trips helping those in Haiti. Debby spoke most often of Mark, Nicholas, her dogs, music and work with the church. I will remember Debby as quiet and committed. Condolences to her family.

I worked with Debby for years, we loved to talk about our dogs. She gave me a copy of the book her son wrote when my beloved dog passed away. Debby had a sly sense of humor and I loved working with her, she was a wonderful nurse. She will be missed. Condolences to her family.
