Dear Doris, Meredith and Catherine,
Vaughn and I were so saddened to hear about Bill’s death. We remember well the years we shared together in Winston-Salem through work, school and genuine friendship. We extend our sincerest condolences to you and all extended family. Bill was a very kind man and we still have the heartfelt note that he wrote us when our younger son died. We will continue to keep you in our hearts and prayers. -
Bill was my cousin. We grew up together camping, fishing, riding motorcycles and just being boys. As our careers progressed we were fortunate to be able to share lunch in downtown Charlotte. Bill never lost his smile and quiet strength. He was always patient and kind. His Christian love for others never wavered. I know that God has a special spot in heaven for Bill and ii. I will join him there one day.

Bill will be greeted at the gates of heaven welcoming him home saying . . . well done, good and faithful servant.
He was a truly gentle, caring man with a life well-lived with family, friends, business, and his walk with God.
We’ll miss our dear friend, but he fought the good fight and his race is won.
Sincere condolences to Doris, Meredith, Catherine and the entire family.
