Jeff was a great friend. I met him mid-70's when he and Miriam moved to Charlotte. They were such an enjoyable couple to know. They raised a beautiful family and I got to know his children and grandchildren well. Jeff and I shared the USNA and submarine connection which produced many great sea stories. We played many, many rounds of golf together, at Cedarwood and around the Carolinas. He will be missed and never forgotten, same as Miriam, by Julia and me.
Our sincere sympathies to Scott, Susan and Steavie. Rest your oars, Sailor. Fair winds and following seas.

I have very fond memories of Jeff & Miriam. Jeff was my first boss at Otis Elevator when I moved here in 1985. Jeff was a great guy and when I think of him, it’s always with a smile. Neil & I are so sorry for your loss. May your memories comfort you in the days ahead.

Jeff was such a great encourager in so many ways, spreading compassion and joy at every turn. He was a grand person with an infectious smile. He and Miriam shared such warmth and graciousness with all who knew them, and their smiles will always be with us. Thank you, Jeff, for your friendship and for your service to all of us as an officer in the United States Navy in defense of our freedom. Thank you for your service to God through your church, your example as a citizen, your dedication to Miriam and your children and grandchildren, and your example of high integrity - the real mark authentic manhood, so essential in our world today.

Friends with Steven, Susan, and Scott growing up. From the days of day care, soccer, and church! Good memories! I remember Steven telling me one time that his mom was beautiful and that his dad was cool! We were at Tall Pines daycare off Eastway Boulevard! I will always remember it because it was so special! Because I had never thought of either one of my parents as beautiful or cool. So it stuck with me!
