I met Josh when we were both reporters covering Aiken County Council. I always enjoyed talking with him and was sorry to see him leave the newspaper business. I then re-encountered him when I covered a SC execution, and he was with the SC Department of Corrections. Again, he was a helpful resource. My deepest condolences to his wife and kids. I pray that God’s peace surrounds you all as you begin life without him here. I know it’s not always easy, but a time will come when you can focus more on the joy he brought to this world and less on the pain of his absence. God bless all who loved and knew him.

We are a family that spent time with Josh on the sidelines of Charlotte Eagles. Our son, Keane played with Archie. We always remembered Josh as being such a laid back and caring friend and father. We have been praying for everyone in the Gelinas family and will continue to do so. We are saddened with this news and hope in the time to come, you will find peace.

So sorry to hear of Josh’s untimely passing. Josh covered city politics for the Augusta Chronicle when I was an elected
Official in North Augusta,S.C. Josh may have been single then. He was always friendly and very fair in his approach to his reporting.
I dealt with many reporters over my 32 years in government, Josh was one of the best to deal with. From what I read in his obituary
He made the best of his too short life. God bless his family .

Josh was part of our Youth Group at Wesley UMC when we worked with them. He was one of those kids so easy to be around, full of life, and dedicated to living a life that makes a difference. We are not surprised at all that he continued making a difference through Waypoint Church. Our love and prayers go to his family. Greg, Sharon, Patrick, his wife and children. We pray God to be with you as you walk through unimaginable days.

I want to give my heartfelt condolences to the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I am wishing you comfort and peace. Josh was a Great person to work with. He was always an attentive listener and would give support in comments that he made in appreciation of any effort to support him or his team at Cokeconsolidated. There are no words that can be used to express how he will truly be missed.

We didn't know Josh extremely well but my memories are of how proud Sharon and Greg are of the person that he had become from early childhood through adulthood, and the love they feel for him and his family.. There are no words that can be expressed to ease the sorrow of his loss that is now felt but they can know that they are in the thoughts and prayers of all.
