Barbara Benfield Holland

CHARLOTTE – Barbara Benfield Holland, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 13, 2023.  Born April 21, 1938, in Charlote, she was the daughter of the late Charles Shuford Benfield and Suma Teague Benfield.

Barbara was a member of First Baptist Church of Charlotte and was a hairstylist for over fifty years. She owned and operated Unique Impressions Salon. 

Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Deborah Ferrell Hammett and her husband, Thomas Lee, and Rhonda Ferrell Mauney; grandchildren, Meagan Hammett, Jason Mauney, Lindsey Mauney, and Daniel Mauney; great-grandchildren, Annabelle Hammett, Dylaan Mauney, Madysan Mauney, Kinsley Mauney, Lucie Barger, and Levi Barger.  Also surviving are her two brothers, John Andrew Benfield and his wife, Christine and Larry Shurford Benfield and his wife, Patricia and her nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell M. Holland; brother, William Larmar Benfield; her two sisters, Helen Benfield Cranford, and Sarah Ann Jarrett and son-in-law, Vernon Claude Mauney.

Services will be private.

    My husband and I took trips with Darrell and Barbara. She also cut my hair in Ireland. We also had the opportunity to take many Pepsi trips with them. She was a dear friend and I was a client for many years.
