Konstantinos "Dino" Georgiou

KANNAPOLIS – It is with the upmost sadness and regret that we inform you our beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Konstantinos “Dino” Georgiou, 45, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, May 26, 2023.  He was born May 21, 1978, in Charlotte, NC to Nick and Margaret Georgiou.
 
Dino was raised in Kannapolis, NC and graduated from A.L. Brown High School.  After high school he attended Catawba College and later graduated from UNCC with a bachelor’s degree in business.   After college, Dino joined his family’s restaurant businesses; Romano’s Italian Cuisine, Palm’s Café, and Capriano’s Italian Cuisine, all of Salisbury, NC.  Dino always made time for his family and made it such a priority to make his family and friends feel special and loved.  He would go out of his way to help anyone in need of assistance including offering advice or being a friend by lending an ear.  Dino will be forever remembered for being the best friend anyone could have.

Dino is survived by his parents, Nick and Margaret Georgiou; brothers, Bill Georgiou and  Jimmy Georgiou/Andritsogiannis; nephew, Lambros Andritsogiannis; nieces, Athena Georgiou and Harekla Andritsogiannis.  Also surviving are his uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vasilios and Theodosia Georgiou; aunts, Elpida Papadimitriou, Ekaterina Georgiou; uncles, Stavros Papadimitriou, Ioannis Georgiou and George Nikopoulos.
  
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral with Fr. Vasileios Tsourlis and Fr. Christian Sisko officiating.  The family will receive loved ones and friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered in memory of Dino to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral Foundation, 600 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203 or Panagia Prousiotissa Chapel at Elatos Park.
