We were shocked and saddened to hear of Art's passing. We first met Art when he came down to Carrollton to talk about joining the Nielson organization. We got to know him over the years and came to admire and respect him in business and as a friend. I was on my way through Charlotte a couple of years ago and he joined me for a beer and we got to catch up. Art will be truly missed. Our prayers are with you Nicole as well as the family.

Art was a wonderful friend who had the gift of gab. He often used the word loquacious. His sense of humor was dry and to the point. He had a charming way of poking fun at you and would make you laugh at yourself with him. We had many inside jokes that were created over the decades where we were great friends. A kind heart and fun loving man who will be missed by so many. While I have so many great memories for which I am so thankful, I feel much sorrow because there will not be more we could have shared. You were a wonderful man: father, husband, brother and friend. I will miss our many calls and the funny banter we had. My deepest sympathy to all who knew and loved Art during this difficult time. Love you buddy.
