When asked by her grandchildren to describe her character, Alex reminiscences that she was level-headed, Morgan remembers her devotion, Matthew her inspiration, Shea II her strength, Dylan said she was remarkable, and Patrick recollects on her resilience. Alene was loved deeply by her family and was a true matriarch for her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

I am sorry to learn of Ms. Alene. She was one of the nicest ladies I ever met. I talked to her back in 2018 to let her know that my husband Lance Poston passed away. He worked for TransAmerica and sold insurance to her. She loved talking about her children and grandchildren.

My dearest childhood friends Shea, Amina, Jamie and families,
Where do I begin ? The memories we shared in your home on Croydon will always be laced with your sweet Mother’s gentile warmth and Southern hospitality. She was calm and logical and loving as her grandchildren described.
She was the great Matriarch of your family following in the footsteps of Siti.
She and your father were a model couple of devotion and service to family, friends and their greater community. May she rest among the righteous. Well done good and faithful servant.
    Memory Eternal
