Patricia (Voula) Triantis

September 17, 2022

CHARLOTTE – Patricia (Voula) Triantis, our beloved mother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2022 surrounded by her family.  She was born on March 20, 1933 to the late Nick and Efrosini Karras in Paparousi, Greece.

Voula was an active member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She served several terms of office in both the Philoptochos and Daughters of Evrytania. Voula volunteered countless hours to the Pastry Sale and Festival.  Her most cherished stewardship was crocheting baby blankets to be donated to the hospital.  She was an accomplished seamstress and worked many years in some of Charlotte's finest boutiques.

Voula loved entertaining her friends and family at her home and welcomed everyone graciously.  She never met a stranger and the gatherings that were hosted by her and her husband, John were legendary.

Voula is survived by her five children, Maria Triantis, Nick Triantis and his wife, Kim, Phillip Triantis and his wife, Elaine, Frances Tsiabassis and her husband, Bobby, Stefanie Oxendine and her husband, Bruce; five grandchildren, Alexa Richards and her husband, James, Leah Tsiabassis, Jonathan Triantis and his wife, Nicole, Alex Triantis and his wife, Ivy, and Evy Oxendine.  Also surviving are her two great-grandchildren, Barrett and Riley Richards.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John to whom she was married for 70 years; her sister, Angela Ballas, and brother, Tommy Karras.

The family would like to especially thank Voula's caretaker Takoya who gave our mother the most loving care and always treated her with dignity and respect.  In addition, the family would also like to thank Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region and mom's nurses, Kristy, Sharon, and Harding who were so good to her.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 600 East Blvd. in Charlotte.  Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered in memory of Voula to the Holy Trinity Cathedral Foundation.

May Her Memory Be Eternal.
