Anne J. Beam

CHARLOTTE – Anne J. Beam, 91, died peacefully Saturday evening, December 4, 2021, at Atrium Health Pineville in Charlotte, NC.  Mrs. Beam was born at St. Peter’s Hospital in Charlotte on Sunday, January 12, 1930, to the late Kenneth Edward and Frances Marie (Hahn) Jackson.

As the former Anne Jackson on February 28, 1953, she married her loving husband of 68 years, the late Earl B. Beam.  She attended the old Harding High School and after graduation was employed by Memorial Hospital, Southern Bell and later retired from the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System.  For 60 years she was a faithful and devout member of First Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC.  

She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grand- mother and great-grandmother.  Anne loved the mountains and enjoyed spending time with her family celebrating such holidays as the 4th of July and certainly Christmas.

She leaves to cherish her memory her three loving children, Tim Beam of Charlotte, Luanne Querry and her husband, Cliff of Kernersville, NC and Nancy Nichols and her husband, Dale of Fort Mill, SC.  Other survivors include nine grandchildren, Matthew Beam, Morgan Beam and his wife, Carin, Meaghan Beam, Brandon Querry, Hanna Querry, Christopher Nichols and his wife, Shelby, Adam Nichols, Michael Nichols and his wife, Alejandra and J.C. Nichols, two great-grandchildren, Pearson Beam and Lilly Nichols.  In addition to her beloved husband, Earl and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth Edward Jackson, Jr. and Francis Robert Jackson.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Beam will be 2:00PM Friday, December 17, 2021, at First Baptist Church in Charlotte. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
