Graham Glenn Arrington

CHARLOTTE – Graham Glenn Arrington, 87, of Charlotte passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 in the presence of his family.  Graham was born in Castalia, NC on January 25, 1934, to the late Fannie Mae Edwards and Otha Arrington.  One of eight children, Graham joined the Army at an early age and spent 21 years serving our country including tours in the Korean and Vietnam wars.  During his time in the Army, he served in Germany where he met his wife of 57 years.  Together they lived in seven states and Germany while raising a family of three boys.  After retiring from the Army in 1974, he worked at Ft. Bragg for another 20 years during which he was recognized by the President of the United States for his creation of and work on a project before retiring for a second time.

Graham loved spending time with his family. Many times, he took the family camping across the US, visiting countries in Europe, and playing baseball with his sons.  He shared his love of hunting and fishing with his sons and passed on his strong work ethic by setting an example. 

Graham is survived by his sons; Ron and his wife, Charlene and their daughter, Ragan, Clint and his wife, Therese and their daughter, Hali and Steve and his wife, Kerryanne.  He is also survived by his sisters, Margie and Linda and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 22, 2021, at New City Church, 2500 Carmel Rd., Charlotte, NC.  The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service at the church.  Interment with military honors will follow at 2:00 PM at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury.

    Graham (Pop's) was a great father and teacher, I do wish he and Jutta were still here to see their grandchildren grow into amazing adults.
    doesn't seem like Pop's has been gone 6 months, sure do miss the both of them.
