Eleanor Puidokas Easton

August 20, 2021

CHARLOTTE – Eleanor (Puidokas) Easton was born in Brockton, MA to the late Louis and Stella Puidokas on August 6, 1923 and passed peacefully on August 20, 2021 in Charlotte, NC. She grew up with older sister Eloise (Puidokas) Flynn and married Edward James Easton, Sr. in 1940.

Eleanor was deeply loved by her son Dr. Edward James Easton, Jr. and his wife Gretchen, and grandchildren Brooke (Clayton) Grindle, Edward James Easton, III, and Ingrid (Jonathan) Wilson. Eleanor (known as “Anna” to her family) was especially adored by her five great-grandchildren: Oak Wilson, Sedley Wilson, Hezekiah Grindle, Rhodes Wilson, and August Wilson.

Eleanor enjoyed meeting new people, playing (and usually winning) bocce, any kind of card game, dancing, casino trips, sweets, and jigsaw puzzles. She loved traveling to the beach with her son and his family. Eleanor was most happy holding hands with her devoted husband Edward to whom she was happily married for 69 years until his passing in 2010.

At the family’s request, services will be private.

Memorial contributions may be offered on behalf of Eleanor to The Church of St. Ann, 103 North Main Street, West Bridgewater, MA. 02379.

    Dr. Easton
I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. I knew your Dad well back in Brockton. He was a friend of my father for years. My mother-in-law (Rose Atkinson) who also lives in Charlotte has had several conversations with your Mom over the past few years. I just told her your Mom passed and she asked that give you her condolences.
Again so sorry for your loss.
