Dana Lynn Pacek

July 4, 2021

CHARLOTTE – Dana Lynn Pacek passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, July 4, 2021. Dana was born in Mount Clemens, MI to Joan and the late Herman Bauman on August 4, 1961.  She is survived by her husband, John Pacek; son, Brett Pacek and his wife, Laura and her precious granddaughter, Vivian Jade Pacek.  Dana is also survived by her mother, Joan Bartsch and her husband, Bruce; sister, Debbie Bauman Springer and her husband, Jay and brothers, Todd and Michael Bauman.

Dana graduated from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI with an associates degree in Secretarial studies in 1981.

Fresh out of college she met the love of her life, John on the Mount Clemens softball fields. They married in 1983 at St. Peter’s Church and began their life together in Mount Clemens, MI.

In 1988 she gave birth to her son Brett who was the pride and joy of her life. In the mid 90’s she moved her family to St. Clair, MI to be closer to her mother and raise her son in the nice quaint town located along the beautiful St. Clair River. Throughout the nineties and into the 2000’s she served as executive secretary for the family small business before eventually departing for Charlotte, NC in 2006.

Dana will be remembered as a very strong-willed woman that approached each day with a positive attitude and big smile on her face. Some of her favorite things to do included dinners with her husband out on the town, hockey games with her son, Starbucks mochas, shopping, Panera bread trips, driving to the North Carolina mountains, visiting Lake Lure and most importantly cherishing every moment she could with her husband John.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 415 N. 6th Street, St. Clair, MI 48079.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or https://www.stjude.org/donate/
