Margaret Nell "Margo" Hollingsworth

June 16, 2021

Margaret Hollingsworth, affectionately known as Margo, passed away on June 16, 2021.  She was born in Birmingham, Alabama to Robert and Margaret Hollingsworth.  They moved to Atlanta, where Margo spent most of her life.

Margo was a pastry chef for many years, but her true gift was as an artist.  She worked with designers to create works of art in people’s homes.  She moved to Charlotte to be closer to family and quickly found designers here to continue her work.

Margo loved being with her Mom here in Charlotte and visiting with her aunts, uncles and cousins.

Margo will be remembered for her deep love for her family and close friends, but most importantly for her love for her Great Dane, Rosemary.  Rosemary went everywhere with Margo, especially the dog parks.

Because of her love of Rosemary, we are choosing to meet at the Mint Museum, 2730 Randolph Road, Charlotte, on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 11 AM to honor Margo.  Please bring a chair so we can share our memories of Margo.

Arrangements are in the care of Kenneth W. Poe Funeral & Cremation Service, 1321 Berkeley Ave., Charlotte, NC; 28204 (704) 641-7606. Online condolences can be shared at www.kennethpoeservices.com.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I've been trying to find Margo for years. I have so many memories of Margo from highschool. I so happy she found her calling in art.
    Take care,

I worked with Margo for many years at Tuesday Morning. I remember meeting her aunt Ruth and seeing the art she created for her clients, her talent was brilliant. She loved her dog Rosemary and brought her to the store every time she wasn't working. I will miss Margo but know she is free from suffering. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.
