Mary Beth and David, I saw your mother's obituary in the Charlotte Observer. The McGregors have wonderful memories of our summer get-togethers with the Barfields and the Hances. Jean, Jimmy, Johnny, Sam, and I send our heartfelt condolences to you on your mother's death and ask that you express our love to your father. (After I retired from Davidson College Presbyterian Church, my husband and I moved to Summerville, SC. We moved my mother down to the Village at Summerville--formerly the Presbyterian Home--2 years ago. She is in the memory care unit.)

Mrs. Betty has been the most perfect next door neighbor. Right after we moved in, she was the first to come over and pay a visit to welcome us. She loved all three of our children so much, and inspired our oldest daughter to take up piano lessons. She was beautiful inside and out, and I am so happy that we were able to see her looking so lovely and happy on her recent birthday. Sending so much of our love to this wonderful family.

Such a lovely picture of my dear friend. She was always so caring and kind. I will miss her in many ways, Pat and family I am holding you and your family in my prayers. I am sorry I will not be able to attend the service, but will be with you in spirit and prayer. May God bless each of you with His presence and perfect peace. In Christian Love.
