CHARLOTTE - Barbara Brookshire Gray (83) was born to Mary Wilda Weaver and Walter Boyd Brookshire in Maryville, Tennessee. She grew up in Alcoa, Jefferson City, Russellville, Tennessee and in Winton, North Carolina.

She graduated from Ahoskie high school and from Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina in 1964.

Barbara married Wallace Thomas Gray, Jr in 1964 and they have resided at Dugway Proving Ground, Utah where Tommy was in the US Army. Afterward, they lived in Charleston, West Virginia where Barbara taught high school Math; in Antwerp, Belgium; Houston, Texas; Metairie, Louisiana; Ridgefield, Connecticut and Charlotte, North Carolina.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law her sister-in-law Linda Dare Gray Perry.

She is survived by her husband Tom; her sister Beverly Marie Brookshire, her niece Amanda Albert Castellucci, Amanda‘s husband, Kevin Edward Castellucci, her great-nephew, Benicio Miguel Castellucci, her great-niece Olivia Constance Castellucci and brother-in-law Randy Perry. She has many loved cousins throughout the US.

Services will be held at a later date.
