Milton Burgess CHARLOTTE - Milton died at Asbury Care Center on Saturday, February 6, 2016. He was born in Rock Hill, SC, and was preceded in death by his father, Milton Burgess Sr. and mother, Lillian Burgess. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandra, and daughters, Kristi Greene (Gary) and Erin Boling (Joe), and grandchildren Kelsie, CJ, Hayden, and Savannah and Skylar. Also surviving are sister, Shirley Ramsey and brother, Don Burgess; step-sisters Janell Carpenter and Mildred Faile, and many nieces and nephews. He was a faithful Christian who spent over 50 years serving many churches as organist and choir director. He also was a business consultant for medical and dental practices in the Charlotte area. He enjoyed vacationing at the beach and mountains and cherished every opportunity to be with his family. His strong work ethic and faith in God were his guiding principles. He brought joy to many through his music and will remain an example of strength to his family. The family will always be grateful to Hospice and Palliative Care and to Dr. John Crawford and Lynn for providing patient, loving guidance for many years. Memorial service will be at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church at 2pm Monday, February 8, with visitation at 1pm in the Trinity Room.
