Paul Maurice Roberson, 85, was born on July 6, 1937 in Asheville, NC, son of John and Julia Mae Worley Roberson. He had a wonderful life and went to be with his Lord on March 16, 2023. After growing up in Taylorsville, NC, Paul served in the Army Reserves and National Guard for two enlistments. Paul then enrolled at Chicago Technical College and received his associate degree in engineering from Central Piedmont Community College. Paul worked as a checker, designer, draftsman and project engineer with forty years focused on machine design before retiring from Reynolds Industry in 1999. In retirement, Paul enjoyed building and repairing clocks, as well as sharing his passion for woodworking with others. An active member of Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church, Paul served over thirty years as a deacon.

Paul is survived by his wife of 52 years, Anne Hoover Roberson; son, Kenneth Roberson and wife, Ingrid of Munich, Germany; Ingrid’s daughter, Christina Greiling, and her husband, Sebastian and their daughter, Laura; Paul’s sister-in-law, Marjorie Roberson, nephews, Mike Roberson of Taylorsville, NC, Todd Roberson of High Point, NC, Joey Roberson of Asheboro, NC; niece, Jamie Griffin of Taylorsville, NC; and many cousins.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. John Roberson.

A funeral service will be held 12:00 Noon on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will follow at Mountlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in North Wilkesboro, NC.
