Linda H. Thomas

October 19, 2022

CHARLOTTE – Linda H. Thomas passed peacefully on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, with her son and his partner, Danielle Lotito by her side.  She was born in Alma, MI on December 13, 1946, to Lloyd and Sally Hitchcock.

After a move to Waynesboro, VA she married Roger Thomas on September 16, 1967.   On December 3, 1970, they had their only son, John “Jay” Roger Thomas. In 1984, Linda moved with Jay to the Charlotte, NC area.

Linda was a wonderful soul and mother.  She was a caregiver, unselfishly doing for others before herself.  Linda began her career as a beautician, had a successful time with Mary Kay, complete with a pink Cadillac and later placed many executives as a medical recruiter.  Her love for all things that sparkle carried over to her spectacular decorating and gift boxing skills complete with custom bows and plenty of glitter.  She kept QVC in business and always had a “warehouse” of gifts that she readily gave to family and friends.  Her quick wit and sense of humor were with her till the end joking with her son “You’re not the boss of me” as he used to tell her as a toddler.  In all her adventures in life, she would frequently quip the title of her autobiography would be “Cars I have loved and men I have wrecked.”

Linda is survived by her son, Jay; sister, Carol; niece, Jenni and her children, Josh and Sydney.

Services will be private.
