A native Charlottean, son of Charlotte attorney, Rick Poe and his wife Kathy, Richard graduated from Myers Park High School. He attends Hawthorne Lane United Methodist, where his brother-in-law, Duncan Martin, is the pastor. With such grounded Charlotte roots, he is taking on studies to become a funeral director to serve with his uncle, Ken Poe. Richard takes great joy in raising his son, Tripp, and in his spare time enjoys listening to music of all genres.
