The McLendons were our next-door neighbors back in the early 1970's. So many sweet memories of that time. My condolences to the McLendon family. You are in my prayers for peace and comfort in this time of bereavement.

Barbara was a beautiful person in many ways and we shall never forget her. All aspects of life intrigued her and gave her a joyful heart. She was devoted to her family and was a dear friend to us and many other people. We shared a love of music and it was always a pleasure to take her to hear concerts given by the Charlotte Symphony.
As it is written in Micah 6:8, the Lord requires us to “do justice, love kindness, and to walk humbly with God.” That was how Barbara lived.
We shared precious time with her and we will miss her courage, her strength, and her love.
