Shirley Black Myers

Shirley Black Myers, 88, died Monday, November 12, 2018 at Sardis Oaks nursing facility in Charlotte, NC.

Shirley was born in Charlotte on January 12, 1930 to Pauline Buie Black and Willie James Black. She graduated from Tech High School in 1947 and later retired from Espey Huston & Associates.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Myers, of Maryland. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Melanie Myers, sister, Una Holshouser, and brother-in-law, L.C. Holshouser.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Providence Baptist Church.

    Sadden to hear of Shirley's death. Lost touch with her over the years. Our families were related. Mrs. Black would take us to school on rainy days. We lived on 18th st and we graduated together at Tech. Good memories of our years together.
