Joanne Chakalis Pavlakos 75, passed away peacefully on Monday August 29, 2016 at Charlotte Place, from complications with Alzheimer's disease with family, Hospice and staff by her side. Joanne was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 15, 1941. She met her future husband Constantine (Connie) at a church youth program in 1960. They were married on June 30, 1963 in Cleveland. Joanne is survived by her husband Connie, two children Michael and wife, Michelle, Michelle and husband, Andrew, sister; Theodora Chakalis brothers; Andrew and Arthur Chakalis.

A funeral service will be at 2:00pm on Thursday September 1, 2016 at Saint Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church, 5108 Kuykendall Road, Charlotte, NC 28270 with visitation starting at 1:00pm. Burial services will be held at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Joanne to, Hospice and Palliative Care, 1420 East Seventh Street, Charlotte, NC 28204; The Ivey, 6030 Park South Drive, Charlotte, NC 28210 or Saint Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church, 5108 Kuykendall Road, Charlotte, NC 28270.

Her Love and Kindness was beyond compare and will be missed by all that were blessed to have known her. "Frog!" Love never ends. May her memory be eternal.
