HPCCR sponsors free and sliding scale facilitated groups in a variety of areas of Charlotte, Pineville, and Davidson for people who have lost a loved one (adult or child) to any cause. Novant Health Hospice & Supportive Care

This organization sponsors free counseling and support groups for anyone dealing with the death of a loved one or friend. They offer ongoing weekly morning/evening groups for any adult who has lost a family member or close friend to any cause. This national Bibically-based, Christian nonprofit helps churches all over the USA establish grief related resource programs such as support groups, video seminars with experts, and a workbook-based personal study. Footprints Ministry, Inc.

This group schedule includes a variety of activities which sometimes contains a support group. Their focus is both on the loss of a child as well as other family members. They also start and run a GriefShare course for folks who have lost anyone close to them as well as individual encouragement. The Footprints newsletter is worth reading. Kindermourn

Kindermourn provides a wide variety of services on a sliding scale for children and adults who have lost a family member or friend. These services include groups and individual counseling for parents who have lost children of all and any ages (including during and after pregnancy) and for children through young adults who are grieving the death of a family member or friend. HUGS (Healing and Understanding of Grief from Suicide)

Meeting on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 7pm-9pm, this group provides healing, understanding, group support, and education for people who have lost a family member or friend to suicide. United Way 2-1-1 (Information and Referral Service)

This service provides comprehensive data and referral assistance for nonprofit and government resources in the NC counties of Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Union, and Anson counties and in or near the city of Mooresville, NC. Soul Widows Support Group

This support group is for young widows, age 60 and younger, who have experienced the loss of their spouse or significant other. We provide an intimate space for a group of women to share their grief through speaking and listening to each other’s stories. The meetings allow each widow the chance to be heard, and to feel supported in a safe and supportive environment.
